I opened Tufties, in 2000, on Ormerod Street but we soon out grew this salon, so expanded into next door. Then we had the amazing opportunity to purchase our current position, The Rams Head, right at the heart of Rawtenstall. It is a beautiful Grade 2 listed building and with a lot of hard work we opened February 2014.

I have over 38 years’ experience in hair, skin, trichology and beauty. I am still very passionate about my work and I'm always training and looking for new ideas in what is a constantly changing industry.

At Tufties we only work with the best products on the market, so that we can offer the best results. I am very proud of the fact that we have won 2 national awards, 7 local awards and the Red Rose Business Award, as well as being finalists in HJi Salon of the Year.

I love my work and I’m known to sometimes forget to take time out.

My life outside of work: now incorporates walking, showing Clementine, and now campervan life.
