Before your treatment:
- Avoid sun exposure and self-tanning (including sunbeds) two weeks prior to treatment.
- Avoid using acid/chemical-based products on the area one week prior to treatments (for example glycolic/salicylic acid and retinols).
- Inform your therapist of any changes in medication/health.
- Inform your therapist if you have a history or flare up of cold sores as this can impair treatment. Anti-viral medication may be taken if necessary.
- If topical anaesthetic is to be used, please apply 30-45 minutes before your appointment.
After your treatment:
- The treated area can be red or pink in colour after the treatment and this may last for a few hours. It will also feel warm to the touch during this time.
- Bruising may occasionally occur after treatment in delicate areas, especially around the eyes. This can last up to 5 days but should resolve with no long-term effects.
- A high protection sunscreen should be used after treatments and sun exposure should be avoided for 4-weeks post-treatment.
- Make-up can be applied after 12 hours.
- Immediately after treatment, contraction of collagen fibres improves the skin’s elasticity, so your skin will appear firmer. This can be temporary as the production of new collagen takes time, and best results are seen after your course of treatments (continuing for 3 to 6 months after the end of your course).
- Avoid alcohol and keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
- Avoid heat treatments such as hot baths/showers, saunas, steam rooms.
- Waxing, tweezing and depilatory creams can be resumed 7 days post treatment.
- A non-exfoliating cleanser and light moisturiser can be used on the day of treatment and for 1-2 days afterwards. By around day 3 normal skin routine can be resumed, however, avoid acid/chemical-based products for at least 7 days post treatment.
- Further laser treatment, chemical peels, Botox/Dermal fillers can be resumed 2 weeks post treatment.
- Blistering is very unusual, but if it does occur, contact the clinic immediately for further advice. Keep the area clean and dry and allow to heal naturally. Do not use any lotions or creams on open skin as this may increase the risk of infection. Grazing or flaking can sometimes occur following treatment, so it’s important you DO NOT pick grazes or blisters – as this may increase the chance of a scar occurring. Once the skin has healed, a high protection sunscreen should be used daily for 12 months to prevent pigmentation changes to the skin.

Cryo-Oxygen – cool and oxygenate the skin.
COMCIT uses a revolutionary Cryo-Probe that discharges cold oxygen through an internal peltier system and delivers onto the skin without any feeling of discomfort. The cold oxygen rapidly cools the skin and stimulates the micro-circulation, increasing blood supply providing nutrients necessary for the stimulation of fibroblasts for collagen production.
Micro-channelling Roller – stimulate collagen growth.
The micro-channelling roller offers multiple sizes, variable depending on individual treatment concerns. It is moved over the surface of the skin to create microscopic pinpricks and induce controlled micro-trauma to the skin. These pinpricks create columns/pathways within the epidermal junction which kick-starts the skin to produce more collagen and elastin and allows for product penetration.
Product Infusion – deliver active ingredients deep into skin.
The COMCIT Cellular Infusion is packed with active ingredients that penetrate down the columns/pathways driving ingredients deep down into the skin, and effectively getting down to the layers where skin health begins. These are the layers we need to reach to promote new collagen growth. The pinpricks close almost immediately as the skin heals and the result is the skin becomes thicker, plumper and more youthful.
Puncture Jet Oxygen – to soothe and restructure the skin.
The Crystal Clear Oxygen system uses puncture jet technology that allows oxygen and the active ingredients to be driven into the skin. Performed in a closed-circuit environment, it provides the lower layers of the skin with much needed nutrients to repair and restructure from the inside out.
Results are immediate. Due to the simultaneous action of four skin rejuvenation technologies, you will notice the difference after your very first treatment. Your skin will be beautifully plumped and feel firmer. The result will get better as new collagen production is kick-started around day 4.
For the ultimate rejuvenation we recommend a course of 6 treatments, taken 2-4 weeks apart.
Skin appears firmer, fine lines are reduced and wrinkles are plumped.
There is no down time with COMCIT treatments, however immediately after your COMCIT treatment your skin may look a little pink. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours. We also advise to apply a good SPF 30 or above for 48 hours after treatment and that you avoid the use of sunbeds, bathing in hot water and any hot activities. We also recommend no makeup application for 24-48 hours.
You may feel a mild scratching sensation as the device moves across your skin, but due to the Cryo-Oxygen Therapy elements of COMCIT the treatment is relatively pain free.
