Please read these carefully prior to booking with Tufties Hair, Skin and Beauty
BOOKINGS AT TUFTIES
The easiest way to book with us is via our online booking system, which you can do via our website www.tufties.com
Our system allows you to search services, preferred stylist or therapist, availability, check appointments and to make payments. You can also make appointments by calling 01706 225566, messaging our social media platforms or by signing up to our VIP service via WhatsApp.

When you have made an appointment via any of the above methods, you will be asked for a 20% deposit to be paid on card, which when paid, will secure your booking.
You will receive a confirmation email identifying the time and date - please check this is correct.
A reminder email will also be sent to you 48hrs prior to your appointment - please check this is correct.
OUR VIP SERVICE
Our VIP service is a free service, where we can communicate with you directly via WhatsApp.
You will receive messages from Tufties for appointment availability, latest news, and exclusive offers, that you can respond to at your own convenience. Your messages will only be seen by us, nor will you receive messages from our other guests. If you would like to join this group, please send your name via WhatsApp to 07794448387.
APPOINTMENT TIMES
We ask all guests to arrive on time for your appointments. Better still, please feel free to arrive early, we have a comfy reception, magazines and plenty of refreshments to keep you entertained while you wait.
LATE ARRIVALS
Your stylist or therapist will always try their best to accommodate you if you are late, however this is not always possible, without impacting subsequent guests.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, it may not be possible to carry out your service in full and you will still be charged the full cost of the service you would have had. If it is not possible to carry out your service in the time remaining, we will offer to reschedule, however 100% of the service cost will be charged, and the 20% deposit will then be charged for the re-booked service.
It is your responsibility to arrive on time and provide accurate contact information to receive reminders and updates about your appointment. Please notify us as soon as possible if your circumstances change.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you are unable to attend your appointment, it can be rescheduled or cancelled via our booking site, app, social messenger, email or by phone. Please ensure you cancel 48 hours before your appointment time, to avoid charges to your card and so we can have a chance to refill your appointment.

Cancellations are charged as follows:
- Cancelled/rescheduled appointment up to 48 hours before – no charge
- Cancelled/rescheduled appointment with 24-48 hours notice – 50% total charge.
- Cancelled/rescheduled appointment less than 24 hours notice – 75% charge
- No Show for your appointment – 100% charge
In booking your appointment, you agree for Tufties Hair & Beauty to safely keep your card on file for your booked appointment, and that you grant Tufties Hair & Beauty authority to charge the card at the end of the appointment or cancellation and/or fail to attend. Alternatively, you may pay 50% cash or card in advance to secure your booking, if you prefer not to leave your card details.
DEPOSITS
Deposits are non-refundable, except in the case of salon-in initiated cancellations and emergencies.
RIGHT TO REFUSE
Tufties reserves the right to refuse any guest we feel is unfit for a service, this includes but is not limited to:
- Any guest that appears under the influence of drugs and/or excessive alcohol consumption.
- Certain services that are known as contra-indications, these are conditions that can interfere with a result of a treatment. Any medical conditions, allergies, or colour history that are displayed or made aware to us during the consultation as a contra-indication will be explained to you by your stylist/therapist, why the service cannot be carried out. They will discuss if there is another service that is more suitable.
- A guest who has not been skin tested.
- A guest who has had an allergic reaction to our colour, or any colour brand in the past.
- We operate a Zero Tolerance policy to protect our team. Any guest who display behaviours that make a member of our team or other guests uncomfortable, disrespected or intimidated will be asked to leave (and may still be charged the balance of their service). We provide a safe environment for our team and guests and this should be respected.
- Tufties welcomes all genders, ethnic backgrounds, the elderly, people at any level of ability and all religions. We do not tolerate hateful behaviour, and if we consider you have done so, you will be asked to leave.
- Any service that in any way voids our insurance policy.
CHILDREN & DOGS
We welcome all accompanied, well-behaved children and dogs in the salon.
Please keep your child(ren) close at all times. They are welcome to join in at your appointment and chat with your stylist or beautician.
Please keep your dogs on a lead. You are welcome to ask for a bowl of water and a treat or two for your furry friend.
Please consider our other guests if you bring children or dogs on the premises and avoid unnecessary disruption to our ambience.
ALLERGY ALERT TESTING
At Tufties Hair & Beauty, we take AAT very seriously. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to any guest who requires a colour or tinting service. A test takes less than 2 minutes and does not require an appointment.
- AAT’s are performed no less than 48 hours prior to your colour appointment.
- Providing you have continuously had colour or a tinting service with us, a re-test will not be required, unless there is a gap in your attendance of 1 year or more.
CUSTOMER SERVICE GUARANTEE
At Tufties Hair & Beauty we pride ourselves on our work, however sometimes services or opinions on your style just don’t go to plan. If you are in ANY WAY unhappy with your hair (even if it is what you asked for, but just don’t like it), you have a 2-week window in which to have it corrected.
Fringe trims are free and no appointment necessary, so keep your bangs and/or fringe topped up and pop in when you’re passing. ​
